Firefly - The Prequel
Hi there,
Recently, I’ve been spending time working on Firefly The Prequel. The months leading up to my trip to Japan.
There is a lot of personal stories and stuff in here that hasn’t really been “on-topic” to a Japan Blog, but I think it’s alright under this kind of format.
This is perhaps the longest story I’ve ever written, so I would like some feedback on it before I unleash it. Once complete, this mini-eBook will be made publicly available as a freely downloadable PDF file with a Creative Commons licensed on a donation basis. If you enjoy the story, you’re encouraged to donate.
If you would like a preview of the mini-eBook before release, please contact me. I’ll be giving out 3 copies and asking for reviews. I would also be happy for people to point out inconsistencies, and spelling/grammar errors.
Release date : Expected 1st of September

Hi Firefly:
I’d be honored to read and review your mini-ebook. I’ve been a fan of your writing since you first hit reddit.com. I was one of those who regularly checked you blog during the year hiatus, hoping to see something new.
Needless to say, I’m glad you’re back and I look forward to the upcoming stories.
Ok great. You’re on the list. There is ONE more slot available!
I’m up for it
Though I may be a bit late, I realize. Sept 1 coming up soon.
Either way, I’ll give you some feedback if you wish.
Cheers,
Cytizen
So, it’s a couple days past the first. Got an updated release date?
I’m glad you asked.
It is pretty much complete. It weighs in at around 14,000 words. To give you some perspective, a typical adventure/story is around 800/1200 words.
I’m doing final touch-ups and edits, and waiting for feedback from some of the people I originally sent the first draft to.
** Coming Soon **
Thanks for the quick response. I look forward to reading each and every word.
Your site reminds me of one that I followed a couple years ago. It’s address is chadsreviews.com and follows a “typical guy” reviewing random things he purchased on Amazon.
He eventually wrote a book called “The Average American Male” which, for what is is, is actually really entertaining.
Anyway, I guess what I’m trying to say is that there’s a precedence for this kind of thing.
Good luck.
Brian,
Chad didn’t write that book. The person who wrote that book just has the same name.

He explains it quite clearly in this post.
Haha, and if you buy that, I’ve got a great deal for some ocean front property in Arizona you should take a look at.
They made an ocean in Arizona? Neat. What’s the value of the property? I need a change of scenery.
